Adecco is actively seeking a Senior Environmental Project Manager to join an established environmental consulting firm based in Mississauga, ON. This exciting, full-time opportunity will allow you to lead and contribute to various complex environmental projects, including Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments, remedial action plans, brownfield programs, and more. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills in environmental engineering, project management expertise, and the ability to manage client relationships and project budgets.
Responsibilities:
Prepare technical designs, calculations, specifications, and reports for environmental projects, including Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments and remedial action plans.
Oversee the management of remedial programs, Brownfield grant programs, and Record of Site Condition filing procedures.
Serve as a Qualified Person for excess soil programs and reuse sites.
Actively manage and coordinate environmental personnel for site assessments and remedial programs.
Manage project budgets, timelines, and invoicing.
Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies on a regular basis.
Assist with obtaining environmental permits and approvals, ensuring compliance with environmental legislation.
Support the development of mitigation and protection measures in accordance with environmental policies.
Lead and provide solutions for complex design programs, collaborating with senior staff.
Manage the development and maintenance of client relationships.
Lead fieldwork when required, including environmental sampling and data collection.
Requirements:
Legal eligibility to work and reside in Canada.
A degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering with an environmental focus, or related field.
Registered/licensed with Professional Engineers Ontario (P.Eng.) or Professional Geoscientist Ontario (P.Geo.) in good standing.
8-10 years of experience in environmental engineering, with a strong background in consulting. Experience in Brownfield redevelopment and environmental remedial programs is highly valued.
Expertise in environmental laws, regulations, and standards, especially Ontario Regulations 153/04 and 406/19.
Ability to manage project budgets and deadlines effectively.
Proficient in environmental field data collection and sampling techniques.
Strong judgment and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication, organizational, and writing skills.
Ability to work independently and in team settings.
Bilingual (English/French) is considered an asset.
Must hold a valid Ontario driver’s license and have access to a vehicle with valid registration and insurance.
