Finance and Accounting Manager job opening in Windsor, ON (on-site)
Adecco Professional is looking for an experienced, proactive and detail-oriented Finance & Accounting Manager for our client in Windsor, Ontario who can take ownership of the day-to-day financial operations and functions. This interim, full-time, 6-month contract role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, enjoys rolling up their sleeves, and is passionate about building efficient financial systems that support business growth. NOTE: this position is primarily on-site and has no people management functions but full responsibility on the accounting/finance functions.
Key Responsibilities for the Finance and Accounting Manager job opening in Windsor, ON may include, but are not limited to:
- Conduct all accounting functions including month-end close, reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Month end, quarter end and year end close activities – ability to jump in and get to it.
- Work closely with leadership teams from both Canada and the US to align financial practices with business goals.
- Manage financial contract negotiations and ensure favorable terms.
- Strengthen internal controls to support compliance and operational efficiency.
- Serve as the key point of contact for financial reporting to corporate headquarters.
- Ensure compliance with Canadian and U.S. GAAP standards and internal policies.
Qualifications & Skills for the Finance and Accounting Manager job opening in Windsor, ON may include, but are not limited to:
- CPA designation required.
- Ideally 10 years full-cycle accounting experience at least 5 in a full responsibility role.
- International/Global industry experience and functionality required.
- Familiarity with tax compliance, including transfer pricing and U.S. fiscal requirements.
- Strong hands-on approach with a problem-solving mindset.
- Independent, confident driver with open collaboration and transparency within Canada and across borders.
- Proven ability to manage financial operations and reporting in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication (written and spoken) and interpersonal skills.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles, financial analysis, and controls.
- High attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to present financial insights clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
