Adecco is actively seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Controller to join our client’s well-established organization in Gold River, BC. This full-time position offers a competitive salary between $85,000 to $105,000 per annum. As the Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing financial operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, supervising accounting staff, and implementing financial policies to support the organization’s goals. Responsibilities:

Develop and implement financial policies and procedures that uphold best practices and regulatory standards.

Supervise accounting staff, including Accounts Payables, Receivables, Payroll Specialist, and Bookkeeper, ensuring completion of daily tasks within deadlines.

Investigate financial discrepancies promptly and implement corrective measures.

Prepare and present comprehensive financial reporting packages for review by the CFO and executive leadership team.

Collaborate with external CPA accountants and auditors to ensure annual audits are completed accurately and promptly.

Work with department heads to align budgets, forecasts, and operational expenditures with the organization’s strategic plans.
Requirements:

Legal eligibility to work and reside in Canada.

Minimum of 5-8 years in financial management, accounting, or bookkeeping in Canada, ideally with experience in a First Nation context.

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field. Designations such as CPA or CFA will be considered an asset.

Proficiency in Xyntax or similar accounting software, Microsoft Office, and a demonstrated ability to analyze financial data effectively.

Strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage teams and work collaboratively across departments.

Must be legally eligible to work in Canada, and willing to commute to Gold River, BC (approx. 5km).
