Adecco is currently hiring a full-time skilled and safety-conscious Crown Walkie Operator to join our client’s warehouse and distribution team in SE Calgary AB. In this role you will be responsible for operating a ride-on power pallet jack (Crown Walkie) to move, load, and unload goods efficiently and accurately. This role plays a key part in maintaining productivity and ensuring smooth warehouse operations.

Responsibilities:
Pick, pack and assemble orders in a manner to ensure that product is damage free when delivered to customers in accordance with departmental procedures
Ensure shipments contain proper documentation and item lists are complete by conducting piece counts and weight checks
Prepare shipping labels/documentation and verify all shipments are adequately identified
Maintain organized work area according to policies, procedures and safety regulations
Follow the secure and accurate loading and unloading of deliveries according to established procedures and all correct documentation is completed and presented to the driver
Perform quality, condition and quantity audits of shipped goods for both incoming and outgoing items prior to signing off
Report all product damages and discrepancies to Logistics Manager
Sort and distribute incoming shipments and ensure they are put away in designated locations
Track shipments and verify receipt of shipments
Problem solve for any cases of missing documents, shipments and deliveries
Make deliveries with company vehicle as assigned
Inventory Control
Assist with weekly inventory cycle counts as required by ALGC personnel
Identify inventory count discrepancies and report to Logistics Manager
Take note of any peculiar or unusual product movement or out of stock situations and inform Logistics Manager of the situation
Ensure high standards of warehouse security is maintained
Manage inventory of shipping materials and supplies
Process all required paperwork and maintain adequate records for reporting and tracking
Maintain filing of shipping documents
Follow all product inventory procedures, including FIFO
Develop and sustain a professional and productive relationship with all customers, carriers, contractors, suppliers, internal departments and key stakeholders
Identify and inform Logistics Manager of any repairs or maintenance needed on warehouse equipment
Ensure facility housekeeping standards are upheld
Follow all applicable federal safety standards and local laws
Qualifications:
Some shipping/receiving experience preferred
Experience in the packaged good industry is an asset
Minimum Grade 12 Diploma or GED equivalent
Some courses completed in materials handling preferred
Valid driver’s license and good driving record
Demonstrated ability to operate material handling equipment including Crown Walkie (ride on power pallet jack)
Knowledge of filling out waybills and bills of landing
Ability to weigh and measure items
Working knowledge of safe packing methods
Good organizational, time management and prioritizing skills
Attention to detail in all areas of work
Able to communicate both verbally and in writing
Must be proficient in English Language
Basic mathematical skills
Computer literacy, including working skills of Excel and e-mail
Punctual with a strong work ethic and positive team attitude•
Ability to lift /move up to 50lb
Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
