Adecco is recruiting on behalf of a leading financial services client for an Investment Management Analyst to join their team on a 6-month contract in Toronto, ON. This hybrid role focuses on institutional client account maintenance, securities trading, capital funding, and investment operations. You will act as a key liaison between portfolio managers, trading desks, and operations to ensure smooth, accurate, and timely investment activity. The ideal candidate has advanced Excel/Macro skills and strong investment industry knowledge.

  • Pay rate: $39.54/hour.

  • Location: Toronto, ON | Hybrid – 3 days in-office

  • Shifts: Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:00pm

  • Job type: 6-month contract | Full-time

Responsibilities:

  • Managing institutional client accounts with a focus on defined contribution platforms.

  • Executing and reconciling securities and fund trades.

  • Performing trade order management and cash management duties.

  • Collaborating with capital markets teams on capital calls and funding activities.

  • Supporting trade processing, quality assurance, and user acceptance testing (UAT).

  • Utilizing Charles River Investment Management System (CRIMS) to track investment operations.

  • Ensuring compliance and accuracy in all aspects of portfolio and cash operations.

  • Building Excel-based tools/macros to support reporting and analysis.

Requirements:

  • Must be legally eligible to work and reside in Canada.

  • 5+ years of portfolio management or related investment operations experience.

  • Experience with institutional client accounts and defined contribution platforms.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including Macros) and other Office tools.

  • Familiarity with Charles River or similar portfolio management systems (asset).

  • Strong understanding of mutual/pooled funds, stocks, bonds, and the investment industry.

  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

  • Previous exposure to cash management, trade processing, and UAT environments.
