Adecco is actively seeking a passionate and skilled Kitchen Manager / Cook to oversee the daily operations of their kitchen in Gold River, BC. Responsibilities:

Oversee the daily production and preparation of all food items to ensure quality, consistency, and alignment with Feast House standards.

Train, develop, and manage new hires, including those without prior Food and Beverage experience, to ensure team success.

Schedule and supervise all aspects of the kitchen, ensuring compliance with VIHA standards at all times.

Monitor and maintain labor and food costs within the parameters of agreed-upon budgets.

Prepare monthly inventories of all food, chemicals, and paper products used in the kitchen, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

Develop and manage schedules for the culinary team to meet operational needs efficiently.

Order and maintain inventories for all culinary department products, ensuring availability while reducing waste.

Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to secure quality ingredients, negotiate pricing, and ensure timely deliveries.

Ensure all employees are properly groomed and in uniform, adhering to company policies and standards.

Collaborate with front-of-house supervisors to align kitchen operations with guest expectations and deliver a seamless dining experience.

Update and maintain order guides and associated costs, ensuring they reflect current needs and market trends.

Stay informed of food industry trends and standards to contribute to menu development and operational improvement.
Requirements:

Legal eligibility to work and reside in Canada.

A Diploma or Degree in food services, culinary arts, or hospitality.

A minimum of five years’ experience in the Hospitality field, and at least two years’ managerial experience.

Food Safe Certification is required. Smart Serve Certification is preferred.

Strong leadership and communication skills to manage and motivate a diverse culinary team.

Knowledge of food safety regulations and experience maintaining compliance with health and licensing standards.

Ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers, community partners, and stakeholders.

Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.

Proficiency in inventory management, scheduling, and maintaining compliance with health and licensing standards.

Competency in computer software, including MS Office (Word, Excel).

Valid Driver’s License.
