Adecco is currently hiring a full-time skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician to perform routine and preventive maintenance tasks on machinery, equipment, and facilities for our client a leader in food manufacturing in Belleville, ON. In this role you will ensure operational efficiency, troubleshoot and repair systems, and support production teams with minimal downtime, maintaining strict safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities:
Perform daily inspections on equipment to identify damage or repair needs.
Service and maintain a variety of machinery including conveyors, palletizers, wrappers, depalletizers, and labelers.
Operate and maintain key utility systems such as steam boilers, air compressors, and refrigeration/cooling units.
Execute production line tasks while strictly adhering to safety protocols.
Inspect, maintain, and repair mechanical, pneumatic, electronic, and PLC-based systems.
Independently troubleshoot equipment and machinery, resolving issues efficiently.
Collaborate with machine operators to diagnose and resolve equipment malfunctions.
Contribute to team development by participating in training initiatives and knowledge sharing.
Ensure compliance with all applicable safety, environmental, food safety, and legal standards and regulations.
Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors or management.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years of maintenance experience required; background in the food industry or manufacturing considered an asset
Strong knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems is advantageous
Electromechanical skills, including familiarity with sensors, drives, and HMIs, are a plus
Possession of a trade license is beneficial
Proficient in reading technical manuals, electrical schematics, P&IDs, and locating parts and blueprints
Capable of standing for extended periods
Quick learner with a strong commitment to continuous improvement
Able to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment with minimal supervision
Proven problem-solving abilities
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
