Adecco is currently hiring a Maintenance Technician for a full-time, permanent opportunity in Scarborough, ON.
In this role, you will perform troubleshooting, repairs, fabrication, and modifications to machines, equipment, and facilities to ensure smooth, reliable operations. Responsibilities:
Form and fabricate parts and components for experimental projects, repairs, and modifications according to directions and specifications
Use machine tools, hand tools, and a variety of materials to work within prescribed tolerances
Troubleshoot machines and systems (electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic), recommend corrective actions, and supervise repairs and modifications as approved
Maintain a thorough understanding of production processes, equipment, and facilities to perform effective maintenance
Collaborate with engineering, production, and external personnel when directed
Keep the maintenance workshop clean, organized, and safe; prepare the area for the next shift
Ensure compliance with company Health and Safety Regulations
Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements:
Must be eligible to work and reside within Canada
Good communication skills, punctuality, and teamwork
Experience with tape measures, micrometers, calipers, and other measuring tools
Knowledge of manufacturing and metalworking machinery, materials, and their processing
Ability to use power and hand tools safely and effectively
Understanding of basic electrical wiring and installations
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Ability to read and interpret technical prints and drawings
Creativity and skill in improving and modifying machinery and parts
Familiarity with company policies and procedures related to maintenance and safety
