Adecco is currently hiring a full-time skilled and motivated Marketing Operations Data Analyst (contract) to support our client’s Marketing business channels, including Asphalt & Industrial Products and Canadian Products Marketing in Calgary, AB. In this key role, you will be responsible for analyzing and reporting on financial and operational performance, supporting strategic business decisions through detailed insights and forecasts. Your work will contribute to the company’s continuous improvement initiatives and uncover profit-generating opportunities.

Responsibilities:
Produce and maintain weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and dashboards.
Conduct financial and operational forecasting, budgeting, and performance analysis.
Troubleshoot financial issues and identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
Prepare comprehensive documents, graphs, and status reports, including presentations to leadership.
Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure accurate entries, accruals, and financial reporting.
Support strategic business initiatives and major projects through in-depth financial analysis.
Mentor and coach junior analysts on data interpretation and business channel insights.
Partner with cross-functional teams to develop analytical tools and evaluate their business impact.
Drive change management and continuous improvement by challenging existing processes and exploring new solutions.
Complete various ad-hoc reporting tasks as assigned
Qualifications:
3–5 years of experience in a financial or business analyst role.
Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Commerce, Economics, Finance, or a related field.
Strong understanding of financial statements and business metrics.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (Pivot Tables, Dashboard creation, etc.).
Proficiency with BI tools like Spotfire or Power BI for data visualization.
Experience using SAP, particularly the BI Reporting Module.
Proven ability to convert complex data into actionable insights and forecasts.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to present findings to senior leadership.
Strong organizational abilities, attention to detail, and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
Business acumen and a proactive, self-starter mindset.
Previous experience in the Sales, Commercial or Retail sector
Understanding of different streams of oil and gas and their interconnected roles
Accounting designation is an asset
Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
