Adecco is currently recruiting for a Senior CAD Designer to join a cutting-edge technology company in Cambridge, ON. This full-time, on-site, 3-month contract offers the opportunity to collaborate with a highly skilled, cross-functional engineering team on a groundbreaking project: developing a laser-based Ground Station to communicate with satellites.

Responsibilities
Collaborate with Optical, Thermal, Electrical, and Mechanical Engineers
Design structural and alignment components for a laser-based Ground Station
Develop solid models, machining drawings, and assembly drawings using CREO CAD software
Design new products and improve existing designs for reliability and cost efficiency
Evaluate parts, products, and processes for manufacturability and performance
Ensure projects are completed on time and meet production deadlines
Lead and guide others on the team when necessary, applying creativity and independent judgment
Perform a variety of tasks and report to a supervisor or manager
Requirements
Must be eligible to work and reside within Canada
College diploma or bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
4–6 years of experience in a similar role
Proficiency in CREO CAD software and solid modeling
Strong understanding of GD&T and machining processes
Familiarity with industry concepts, practices, and procedures
Ability to use experience and judgment to achieve goals independently
Excellent collaboration, communication, and organizational skills
