Adecco is actively seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Environmental Project Manager to join our client’s team in Ottawa, ON. This full-time position offers a competitive salary between $90,000–$110,000 per year, plus annual performance bonuses and a comprehensive benefits package. Responsibilities:
Conduct and oversee Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments, develop remediation strategies, and prepare technical documentation in support of site closure and redevelopment.
Serve as a QP for environmental assessments and excess soil reuse projects in accordance with Ontario environmental regulations, including O. Reg. 153/04 and 406/19.
Supervise field staff and technical personnel, coordinate project resources, and ensure deliverables meet quality standards, timelines, and budgets.
Communicate directly with clients, municipal authorities, and provincial agencies to ensure alignment with regulatory requirements and stakeholder expectations.
Assist in acquiring necessary environmental permits, develop mitigation strategies, and ensure compliance with all applicable environmental legislation.
Collaborate with senior staff to design innovative and cost-effective remediation solutions tailored to project needs.
Provide knowledge-sharing and training opportunities for junior professionals on best practices, project execution, and fieldwork techniques.
Requirements:
Legal eligibility to work and reside in Canada.
Licensed P.Eng. or P.Geo. in Ontario with eligibility to act as a Qualified Person under O. Reg. 153/04.
Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in environmental site work within a consulting setting.
Solid understanding of provincial environmental laws, particularly as they relate to site assessment, remediation, and Brownfield redevelopment.
Demonstrated experience in project budgeting, coordination, and client communication.
Competency in both field operations and technical reporting, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
Valid Ontario driver's license and access to a reliable, insured vehicle.
Bilingualism in English and French.
Registration with the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ).
Familiarity with Designated Substance Surveys and indoor air quality assessments.
Experience working under O. Reg. 153/04 as a QPRA.
Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines effectively.
Comfortable working both independently and within a multidisciplinary team.
High standards of professionalism and ethics in all client and team interactions.
