Adecco is actively seeking a Senior Estimator to join our client’s team based in Edmonton, Alberta. This is a full-time role offering a competitive salary of CAD $150,000–$170,000 per annum. Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate and complete estimates, including quantity takeoffs, unit pricing, and subcontractor/supplier pricing.
- Solicit, review, and level subcontractor and material supply quotes.
- Maintain strong relationships with subcontractors and suppliers.
- Participate in client meetings, project interviews, and team planning sessions.
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, and owners to refine cost estimates and project strategies.
- Develop risk mitigation plans and manage estimating risks.
- Mentor junior staff and contribute to team training and development.
- Maintain and upgrade estimating software and databases.
- Support proposal preparation and ensure timely bid submissions.
- Lead and contribute to internal meetings and career progression planning.
Requirements:
- Legal eligibility to work and reside in Canada.
- A post-secondary degree or diploma in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in general construction estimating.
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
- Proficiency in estimating software (InEight is an asset), MS Office, Bluebeam, and scheduling tools.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of lean construction principles and risk analysis.
- Experience in project coordination or management is an asset.
