Adecco is currently hiring a full-time experienced and results-driven Senior Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of multiple construction projects from initiation through to completion for our client in Calgary, AB. In this role you will be responsible for all aspects of project planning, budgeting, scheduling, and execution, ensuring that all objectives are met on time and within scope and budget.
Responsibilities:
Lead the initiation and planning of projects, collaborating with regulatory bodies, building departments, architects, engineers, and various consultants.
Manage project closeout activities, ensuring all deficiencies are corrected and outstanding matters are resolved efficiently.
Track and control project timelines, budgets, margins, and profitability, delivering consistent progress updates to stakeholders.
Review cost reports and forecasts, identifying risks proactively and implementing effective mitigation strategies.
Facilitate and contribute to project and on-site meetings, encouraging collaboration and clear communication across all teams.
Act as the primary point of contact for clients, building strong relationships and ensuring project objectives are achieved.
Enforce safety protocols, ensuring compliance for both public safety and on-site work environments.
Oversee the review and coordination of subtrade and shop drawings, ensuring alignment with project requirements.
Coordinate schedules, pricing, and communication between clients, vendors, and subcontractors to maintain project momentum.
Manage billing cycles, including securing approvals and expediting change order resolutions.
Analyze estimates and job costs, negotiating subcontractor pricing and identifying opportunities for cost optimization.
Drive operational efficiency by implementing process improvements and identifying cost-saving strategies.
Provide mentorship and guidance to project coordinators and junior staff to support their professional growth.
Evaluate construction techniques and materials, balancing performance expectations with budget and schedule constraints
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, or a Civil Engineering Technologist (CET) diploma.
Minimum of 10 years’ progressive project management experience, ideally with a reputable design-build general contractor or high-rise residential developer.
Hands-on experience with high-rise condominium construction is required.
Proficiency in PROCORE Construction Management Software is considered an asset.
LEED Certification is advantageous.
Proven track record in managing large-scale projects valued between $50M and $100M+.
Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and building systems.
Exceptional analytical thinking, time management, and problem-solving skills.
Demonstrated ability to evaluate and mitigate risks and capitalize on opportunities in complex construction environments.
Skilled in managing labor resources and resolving staffing challenges effectively.
Competent in developing and maintaining detailed project budgets and schedules.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey technical and strategic information.
Self-motivated leader with outstanding interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
