Adecco is currently hiring a full-time motivated and detail-oriented Water Resources Designer - Civil Engineering to join our client’s Civil Engineering team in Kitchener/Waterloo, ON. This role focuses on the design, analysis, and implementation of stormwater management and water resources infrastructure for municipal and land development projects. You will support a variety of projects involving hydrologic/hydraulic modeling, drainage planning, and environmental protection strategies.
Pay Rate: $90,000 - $120,000 + bonus/year (based on experience)

Responsibilities:
Support the design and modeling of stormwater management systems, drainage networks, and flood control infrastructure
Conduct hydrologic and hydraulic analyses using industry-standard software (e.g., SWMHYMO, VO-OTTHYMO, HEC-RAS, PCSWMM)
Assist with the preparation of Functional Servicing Reports (FSRs) and Stormwater Management Reports (SWMRs)
Contribute to floodplain mapping, erosion and sediment control plans, and low-impact development (LID) solutions
Collaborate with engineers, CAD technicians, project managers, and environmental professionals on design packages
Translate engineering designs into technical drawings and construction documents using AutoCAD Civil 3D
Ensure compliance with municipal, provincial, and federal regulations and design standards
Analyze background data and site conditions to support design decision-making
Participate in client and regulatory agency meetings as needed
Assist with permit applications and respond to review comments
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Water Resources Engineering (a Master’s degree is considered an asset)
5 to 7 years of relevant experience, ideally in a consulting environment
Licensed as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.)
Proficient in industry-standard software, including HEC-2/HEC-RAS, GAWSER, MIDUSS, OTTHYMO, XP-SWMM, and the Microsoft Office Suite
Solid understanding of government technical standards, engineering processes, and regulatory requirements
Strong technical writing skills, with the ability to prepare clear and detailed reports
Exceptional attention to detail, with sound independent judgment and decision-making abilities
Effective verbal and written communication skills; able to collaborate with internal teams, stakeholders, and clients in a professional and solution-oriented manner
Familiarity with AutoCAD is an asset
Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
