Adecco is actively seeking a Technical Sales and Proposal Specialist to join a growing organization in the defense and industrial technology sector, based in Ottawa, ON. In this full-time role, you will lead business development efforts, manage supplier relationships, and drive proposal submissions for government and international opportunities.
You’ll identify and pursue public sector contracts, respond to RFPs and RFIs, and represent the company at key industry events. This role blends strategic thinking, technical understanding, and client engagement—ideal for someone with experience in procurement, government contracting, or defense-related industries.

Responsibilities:
Manage supplier relationships with assigned suppliers, including site visits and joint client meetings.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key public sector clients including DND, RCMP, and international/private sector partners.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities including RFIs, RFPs, and international deals.
Lead and collaborate on complex RFP/RFI submissions, ensuring compliance and alignment with client needs.
Represent the company at major industry trade shows and conferences.
Develop a working knowledge of the equipment and technical products offered by the company.
Travel nationally and internationally (approx. 10–25%) as needed.
Requirements:
Legal eligibility to work and reside in Canada.
Minimum 5 years of experience in business development, proposal writing, or government procurement
Strong knowledge of public sector procurement and bid management (RFP/RFI lifecycle)
Demonstrated ability to build and manage strategic relationships with suppliers and clients
Excellent project management, communication, and writing skills
Technically adept—able to understand product specifications and support equipment demonstrations
Entrepreneurial mindset with ability to work in evolving or ambiguous environments
Post-secondary education in Business, Engineering, or a related field (preferred)
Experience in defence procurement or military background is an asset
Bilingualism (English/French) is an asset
Must be eligible to work in Canada, and able to meet Controlled Goods and Level II Secret Security Clearance requirements
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (10–25% travel) as required
